Christmas movie to watch based on zodiac sign

The most wonderful time of the year is officially upon us!

The holiday season is the perfect time to bake festive cookies, decorate the tree and turn on your favorite holiday movie. Whether you're roasting chestnuts by the fire or wrapping presents, there's no better way to get into the holiday spirit than with a festive movie to ring in the season.

But if you're having trouble picking just one holiday movie to watch, consider picking a movie based on your zodiac sign. If you're a Fire sign, you may pick a classic like Elf or, if you're an Earth sign, you might choose How The Grinch Stole Christmas instead.

Read on to learn which holiday movie you should watch based on your zodiac, according to astrologer Lisa Stardust.

Aries: A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story

For competitive Aries signs who like to show off to their friends, A Christmas Story is the holiday classic to get you into the spirit. Stardust says, "When it comes to gifts, Aries will stop at nothing to attain the present they truly desire. Like Ralphie, the ram will try to use their charm to make their dreams come true — even if it’s out of reach even for Santa."

Taurus: Love Actually

Love Actually

Love Actually is a holiday movie to inspire Taurus' inner romantic. Stardust says that these Venus-ruled placements will "relish every story that exists in this movie."

"From heartbreak to crushes to happily-ever-after, the Venusian sign will partake in the love fest that this movie portrays during the holiday season," Stardust adds.

Gemini: The Santa Clause

For Geminis, The Santa Clause might intrigue them most because they "know the importance of a deal."

"When Scott accidentally becomes the new Santa, he must learn to adapt to his new job," Stardust says. "Although it's not what he expected, he begins to change his mindset like the chameleon Sun sign Gemini."

Cancer: Home Alone

Home Alone

Just like Kevin McCallister, Cancer placements are very protective of their homes. "It makes sense that this movie aligns with the Water sign since the plot of this film is about a boy defending his house against robbers," Stardust explains. "Cancers also need their brood to be happy and thrive."

Leo: Elf

For Leos, this epic journey to self-discovery might be the perfect movie for you. Stardust explains that "the high-energy cast and funny scenes will make the lion roar with delight" and adds that "even Santa says a few zingers that will touch Leo’s funny bone and make them smile."

Virgo: A Charlie Brown Christmas

Virgos will indulge in this classic Charlie Brown movie with their friends and families. "A Charlie Brown Christmas stands the test of time because it’s an oldie and a goodie," Stardust says. "Watching this film will allow the Earth sign to get nostalgic and reflect on their youth — or the first time they saw this flick."

Libra: The Holiday

The Holiday

This holiday rom-com is the perfect way to capture charming Libra's heart. Stardust says that this Air sign will "fall in love with this modern tale of two women who get swept up unexpectedly in romances that help them see how amazing and great they are as individuals. "

Scorpio: The Nightmare Before Christmas

For mysterious and brooding Scorpio, the Tim Burton classic The Nightmare Before Christmas might be just the thing to really get them into the holiday spirit. Stardust adds that "Scorpios love a good plot twist, due to their own transformative nature."

"With Jack Skellington wanting to take over Christmastown and create havoc on earth, he tries to succeed," Stardust continues. "That is until things go awry and he changes his opinion, similar to evolutionary Scorpio."

Sagittarius: Last Holiday

Last Holiday

This feel-good film about living in the moment closely resonates with Sagittarius. Stardust explains that "since the theme of Last Holiday urges us to be present and YOLO, it’s understandable why Sagittarius will relish every moment of the film." Stardust adds that the film will "inspire the Fire sign to indulge their emotions and to take a chance."

Capricorn: How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Just like The Grinch, Capricorn placements need to be shown the holiday spirit in order to really get into the cheery mood.

"Capricorns can have a salty air about them when they feel lonely," Stardust says. "After reflection and TLC, they know that others adore and care for them."

Aquarius: It's a Wonderful Life

It's a Wonderful Life

This optimistic movie might be the one to really get Aquarius placements into the holiday spirit. "Aquarians believe in the goodness of others — even though they rarely ask for anything in return," Stardust explains. "This movie will allow them to see that amazing things can happen to kind people. Most importantly, we get what we give and people want to pay it forward."

Pisces: Miracle on 34th Street

Miracle On 34th Street

While Pisces might be cynical at first, they still want to believe in miracles, especially during the holiday season.

"It may take them a minute to see the truth; however, the intuitive sign will lean into their sentiments eventually," Stardust says. "And when they do, Pisces will fully commit."
