Is This Christina Haack's New “Flip Off ”Partner Taking Her Ex's Place? He'll Look Familiar to Eagle-Eyed Fans

Christina Haack (formerly Hall) seems to be soft launching a new partner on The Flip Off! 

In the latest promo video for the upcoming HGTV competition series (premiering Jan. 29), below, Christina’s first husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife current Heather pretend to fight with her — but the showdown features a new character.

Christina is standing next to — and partially obscuring — an unidentified man, who isn't mentioned in the caption or tagged in the post. Eagle-eyed fans, however, might recognize Christina’s mystery partner as her Christina on the Coast contractor, Michael Lange, whom she recently posted two photo with and called a "good" man.

While the clip portrays Lange and Christina putting on a united front against the El Moussas, it's unclear if he could be her new partner for the whole season or just making a cameo in the episode.

Christina was originally supposed to compete alongside her now-estranged husband Josh Hall, who filed for divorce from the star in July.

HGTV recently teased she’ll be “on her own” in the show after Josh's departure, but will turn to her “trusted team” for help.

Tagging Lange in her Instagram Stories on Dec. 2, Christina wrote, “There are still good men left. One of them right here single handedly hoisted this 11 foot tree into my home. Appreciate you."

A few days later, she shared another photo of her smiling beside Lange as they put their arms around one another while visiting a garden center. “Putting in the work!” Christina captioned the photo, tagging Lange’s Instagram handle, @capo_a_general.

Another Instagram shared by Heather the next day hinted at Lange’s involvement inThe Flip Off, as he appeared to accompany the three stars on a visit to the same garden center seen in Christina’s previous post.

"A little BTS on set yesterday," Heather wrote in her Stories, tagging the other group members in the caption, including Lange.

It wouldn't come as a total surprise if Lange appears on The Flip Off beside Christina, as he already works as a licensed contractor on her current HGTV series, Christina on the Coast.  The handyman, who is also a competitive motocross racer, is also working with Christina and designer Kylie Wing for their new company Christina & Kylie, which launched in October 2024.

On Dec. 12, PEOPLE shared an exclusive first look at the highly-anticipated series, below.

In the clip, Christina breaks down in tears while explaining the details of her split with Josh to Tarek. The former Flip or Flop stars were married for seven years and share two children together — daughter Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9.

After stopping by Christina’s Newport Beach, Calif. home and finding her in an unsettled state, she reveals that she and Josh had a “blow up” involving “middle fingers in the face.”

Later in the scene, it’s revealed that Taylor and Brayden asked their mom to leave Josh. "The kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around? I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I just can’t get out of it," she says, wiping away tears.

Josh and Christina officially split in July when the Tennessee-based realtor filed for divorce after nearly three years of marriage. He cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split and requested spousal support from the HGTV star. Their divorce, which has often played out in the public eye, is ongoing.

The Flip Off premieres Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. ET/PT with a two-hour episode.
