Christina Aguilera Plans to Be Matching with Her Family in 'Fun' Christmas Onesies This Holiday Season (Exclusive)
The singer chats with PEOPLE about her signature holiday style and what her skincare routine is looking like these days
Christina Aguilera is all about balance when it comes to curating the perfect holiday wardrobe.
The pop star, 43, tells PEOPLE exclusively that she’s into rocking casual looks as much as glamorous ensembles, depending on the occasion, amid the holiday season.
During her downtime, Aguilera loves “being cozy” in her favorite sweats, cashmere and slippers. “But if I’m going to a holiday party,” she adds, “I love playing up the festivities with some sparkle, usually [with] golds, silvers and reds," plus, wearing lots of accessories.
Some of her staples can be found in H&M’s Studio holiday collection, like its (now sold-out) glittery cropped cardigan and the gold grommet leather hot pants.
“The subtle shimmer on these pieces is what makes them perfect for the holidays,” says Aguilera, who did the honors of cutting the ribbon of H&M’s renovated flagship store in New York City on Nov. 21.
Makeup and manicures are other ways Aguilera incorporates a glitzy element to her outfits. “A glam glitter red lip is always a fun touch, or shimmering shadows and polish," she says.
Plus, body care and skincare are also priorities in the Playground founder's life right now.

Her favorite rituals during the winter, Aguilera says, include "bath time."
"I’ve always loved baths and during the holidays I tend to prioritize that routine a bit more," she continues. "But also moisturizer, especially for the extra cold, dry weather. It’s everything."
