Thor star Chris Hemsworth has admitted his wife doesn’t like his huge muscles.

The actor trained hard for his latest Marvel film Thor: Love And Thunder - which includes a scene in which he is seen naked from behind - and fans have been blown away by his rippling biceps.

But Hemsworth confessed that his model wife Elsa Pataky isn’t one of the fans of his new ripped physique.

He told USA Today: “My wife was like, ‘Bleh, it’s too much’.

“There are a lot of my male friends who are like, ‘Yeah!’ but a lot of female friends and family are like, ‘Yuck’.”

The star, 38, said he honed his muscles during the COVID lockdowns, turning to working out to alleviate the boredom of not being able to get out and about.

He explained: "It was train, eat, train, eat. Nothing else to do. Then I turned up for the film bigger than I've ever been."

Filmmaker Taika Waititi added that it was “crazy” how massive the star got for the Marvel movie, which he directed.

He joked that Hemsworth’s arms were “as wide as my head”.

Stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, who works as a body double for Hemsworth, has previously revealed he has to do a lot to stand in for the beefy actor.

He once told Buzzfeed he had to eat a staggering 35 times a day.

"I also have to train twice a day," he said.

"Chris is naturally a monster and all he has to do is look at weights and he grows."

Hemsworth tied the knot with Pataky in 2010.

The pair had daughter India in 2012 and welcomed twin boys Sasha and Tristan two years later.

Love And Thunder sees Hemsworth return opposite Natalie Portman, who stars as his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, aka Mighty Thor.
