What is the $3 Burrito Hack at Chipotle?
The $3 burrito hack has been making its rounds online for a few years now. It's simple: start by ordering a "single taco" and load it up with free toppings, like rice, beans, salsas, and veggies. Then, add a side tortilla (usually at no extra cost). Once you receive your order, combine the taco filling and tortilla to make your own burrito. This hack lets you get a full-sized burrito's worth of food while saving some dollars.

How to Order the $3 Burrito at Chipotle
The first thing you need to know is that the $3 burrito hack only works when you're ordering your food via the Chipotle app. Open the app and start by selecting a "single taco" from the menu. Instead of selecting each topping as you normally would, swipe right on each one instead and select “side.” Do this for each topping until you get to the fajitas, cheese and romaine. These ingredients will not have a “side” option, so you can select “extra” and move on. Request a side tortilla (usually free) under "Sides" or "Extras." Once your order is complete, combine the taco ingredients with the tortilla to make your own burrito.

“Some things are better left as a secret rather than shared for everyone,” one commenter wrote in response to the hack posted to YouTube, to which another joked, “Alternative title: how to get free plastic containers.”
As of now, the hack still works despite comments online claiming that Chipotle removed the “1 taco” option and the “side” option from the app. But there’s nothing stopping an employee or manager from catching on sooner or later, so order with caution.
