Cher's relationship advice to Amanda Seyfried

Cher is not one to hold back, so when it came to men on the set of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, the iconic singer said it like it was to actress Amanda Seyfried.

The 72-year-old, who plays Meryl Streep’s mother in the musical film, told 32-year-old Amanda she had “dodged a bullet” after splitting with real-life ex Dominic Cooper, who also stars in the movie.

Funnily enough, it’s Dominic himself who revealed Cher’s words during a recent interview.

“She took one look at me and didn’t trust me at all—and told me so herself, which I laughed out loud at,” Cooper told Vanity Fair.

“After Amanda made it clear that we used to, once upon a time, be together, Cher said [to Seyfried], ‘You dodged a bullet there’,” he added.

The 40-year-old actor said Cher’s comment was a joke, but we must admit it would be awkward to work with your ex.

Amanda and Dominic dated for about three years after filming 2008’s Mamma Mia!, in which they play a couple. Last year she married actor Thomas Sadoski.

“I cried, I just teared up,” she revealed of her reaction when she was told Cher would play her on-screen grandmother.

“I had no expectations. I didn’t know what was going on.”
