Cheez-It Teases Potential Flavor That Firmly Divides Fans
From Pickle Fries at Burger King to Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Crunchy Dill Pickle, pickles are taking over the world of snacks. Now, it seems Cheez-It is jumping on the dill bandwagon—or at least thinking about it.
Popular food blogger Snackolator shared an image to Instagram on Monday, Nov. 18, of a new Cheez-It flavor that's apparently "fake" at this point—but might be heading for stores in the future.
"We know we're getting Dill Pickle Cheetos, but how many boxes of Dill Pickle Cheez-Its are you buying?" the post's caption read.

The message continued, "They teased this last week as a 'fake flavor,' but given the trend I have to wonder if they're getting it ready...Maybe the IHOP Lay's have made me think that brands are teasing 'fake flavors' that they know are coming out, but this actually makes some sense given the pickle trend this year. Would you try these? I'm not a huge dill pickle fan so I'd pass, but I'll cheer on you pickle fans all the way if @cheezit actually makes them!"

Followers had mixed feelings about whether or not Dill Pickle Cheez-Its should become a real thing or not.
"Pickles is cool but not everything gotta have a pickle flavor imo," wrote one person.
"I love dill pickles, but I'm not sure about this," agreed someone else.
"I just don’t get the artificial pickle flavor craze. If I want a pickle flavor I’d rather eat the real thing," declared a third Instagram user.
Some Cheez-It lovers were more enthusiastic, however.
"This actually sounds so good," raved one fan, with someone saying the flavor "sounds amazing."
"Dill pickles can absolutely work in a Cheez it 🔥 it only makes sense!" wrote another person.
Cheez-It's official Instagram account also teased the pickle flavor, catching the attention of some notable followers in the process.
"OH," shared reality star Snooki, while Grillo's Pickles also chimed in (perhaps hinting at a potential collab), writing, "hit me up 🔥."
