PEOPLE confirmed the former couple were dating in June 2022, not long after they were seen leaving the musician's concert together in Los Angeles
Charli D'Amelio and Landon Barker have called it quits.
After over a year of dating, the couple are no longer seeing one another, he revealed in a post on his Instagram Story Wednesday morning.
"Hey everyone, I would like to let you guys know that Charli and I are no longer together," Landon wrote. "We broke up to focus on ourselves."
The son of Travis Barker of went on to say that he and the Dancing with the Stars champ — known for her role on Hulu's The D'Amelio Show alongside her sister Dixie D'Amelio — ended things on good terms. "We are still friends and have so much love for each other," said Landon.
"I am incredibly grateful for the time we shared and hope you can respect our decisions," he continued. "Thank, love you all so much."
Charli, 19, and Landon, 20, first sparked romance rumors when they were seen leaving the musician's concert together in Los Angeles in June 2022. PEOPLE confirmed they were an item later that month and the pair went official on social media July.
The former Gen Z couple — dubbed "Chardon" by TikTokkers — were a staple on red carpets and often shared glimpses into their together on social media.
In April 2023, the two even debuted their first magazine cover as a couple when they starred in Mini V, a youth-focused offshoot of V.
A month later in May, Landon shared a carousel to celebrate D’Amelio’s birthday. “Happy birthday to the most beautiful girl in the world @charlidamelio I don't even know where to start, since the first day we ever started talking you have changed my life!" he captioned the post dedicated to the internet personality. "Your such a kind, strong loving person and that has brought me and so many others so much happiness and love. I love you so much hope you have the best day ever you deserve it so much.”
In June, Landon also got a tattoo of D’Amelio’s eye, which he exclusively revealed to PEOPLE was acquired after playing a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors with her.
"Basically, he was like, 'I have to get a tattoo tomorrow. What should I get?’ And I was like, 'Oh my goodness, you should get my face,’ ” Charli said. “He was like, ‘Really? I'll do it.’ and I was like, ‘Rock, paper, scissors,’ and I won.”
Although she “didn't think he was actually going to go through with it,” she ended up going to watch him get inked at his dad’s studio. “My only thought was, ‘You have to tell my dad that you just got this.’ But my parents thought it was cool and so did his,” she said.
Just this September, Charlie appeared in the music video for Landon's debut single, "Friends with Your EX." She played the girlfriend of one of the singer's bandmates, and the girl Landon accidentally falls in love with.
And in an interview with PEOPLE in October, Charli shared that she and Landon adopted a "big mutt" named Moody. "She's 19 different breeds — like, all over the place. She has an eye patch and big, floppy ears," the TikTok star said.
