Charlamagne Tha God completely dismissed the rape allegations made against Jay-Z in a new episode of his radio show The Breakfast Club, where he gave a scathing rebuke of the accuser—and the news network that platformed her.

Several “inconstencies” emerged in the anonymous accuser’s account of events the night she alleges Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z raped her at 13-years-old in 2000, while an unnamed female celebrity watched. Charlamagne said Monday, “At some point, we gotta start holding the networks responsible for even giving people like this the time of day,” he added, “it’s BS.”

The accuser, who participated in an interview with NBC News following her civil lawsuit against the rappers, did not show her face as she told the story in her own words and admitted there are “inconsistencies”—but held that she had been raped. “I have made some mistakes,” she told the network.

Jay-Z immediately pounced on the NBC story, releasing a statement: “Today’s investigative report proves this ‘attorney’ [Tony] Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame,” he told The Daily Beast.

His lawyer Alex Spiro added, “It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting, but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press.”

Charlamagne agreed, but also blamed the media for highlighting the story. “You just put them behind a curtain and let their shadow talk?” he said, criticizing NBC, despite his co-host pointing out that the outlet “fairly” laid out the details that didn’t add up. “How about, don’t even put them on if their story is inconsistent? How about when you interview them beforehand, why even do the story if you know there’s inconsistencies?”

There’s one particular detail the accuser could provide that would settle the matter of public opinion, however, Charlamagne added. “There’s one thing that I wish [news outlets] would ask this young lady, because they keep skimming over this—there is an eyewitness according to her. She said there was a female celebrity in the room. I want them to ask her who it is, ‘cause I know she’s gonna say ‘Dolly Parton,’” or some other celebrity the public would believe was unrealistic, he said. “Who’s the female celebrity, Amy Winehouse?”

“She’s gonna say something so stupid,” he added. “Just for sh--s and giggles, I wanna know. I guarantee if she told who the female celebrity was, everybody’s gonna be like, ‘C’mon now, wrap this up.’”
