Channing Tatum has leapt to his girlfriend Jessie J’s defence after a “horrible, hateful” online troll criticised their recently rekindled romance.

The 39-year-old actor posted a loved-up photo of himself and “Price Tag” singer Jessie to Instagram on Friday ahead of her performance at the MusiCares Person of the Year awards in LA.

“Gonna watch this unicorn sang tonight. Then we gonna get it in! Horns out! (sic),” a proud Channing captioned the snap hours before the couple made their first red carpet appearance following their brief separation.

While the happy couple looked as blissfull as ever, not everyone was as thrilled to see them back together, with one follower remarking that he looked ‘better’ with his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan.

“Jenna looks better with you,” they wrote in the comments.

Channing - who shares six-year-old daughter Everly with Jenna - was quick to bite back, posting a scathing reply in which he brands the troll a ‘hating thoughtless person’ and suggests they ‘think about’ what they’re doing.

“Hey Alex I don't usually address s**t like this. But you seem as good a of terrible happy people hating thoughtless person as any of them. Why don't you seriously think about what you're doing,” he fumed.

The Magic Mike star went on to describe Jessie as an ‘infinite and untouchable beauty’ and invite the commenter to ‘get the f*** out of here’.

“It's hurtful and I ain't about it. If you can't not be a horrible hateful person on my page and support the infinite and untouchable beauty and woman that jess is... please kindly get the TF out of here. No one wants you here. Especially me. (sic),” he said.

Both the cruel comment and Channing’s reply appear to have been removed since.

Channing and Jessie back on

Earlier this week, news emerged that Channing and Jessie were back on after calling it quits just one month ago.

“They took a few weeks apart but ultimately decided they really care about each other,” a source told E! Online.

The pair got together after Channing and his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan announced they were divorcing at the start of 2018 after nine years of marriage.

Jenna went on to date Broadway star Steve Kazee since October 2018, and the couple is expecting their first child together.

In December last year, Jessie and Channing’s photos disappeared from one another’s timelines on social media, though sources reported the duo parted on good terms.

In news that left a lot of his fans in a frenzy, newly single Channing was reportedly looking for love less than a week later on an exclusive dating app.

It looks like his search may have lead him back to the beginning if his recent Instagram posts are anything to go by.
