Channing Tatum Bought and Wore the Same White T-Shirts for a Year Because He Hates Doing Laundry
Tatum called this era of his “the year of the fresh white tee”
Once upon a time, Channing Tatum exclusively wore white T-shirts because he really, really hates washing his clothes.
In his episode of GQ’s “10 Things Channing Tatum Can’t Live Without”, the Blink Twice star revealed that he despises doing laundry so much that he continuously purchased basic T-shirts just so he could avoid the chore but still have clothes to wear.
“I had one year that I called 'the year of the fresh white tee.' I don’t think I did laundry all year that year. I just wore white T-shirts that I just bought. I’d be like, ‘I can get, like, two wears out of this a week,’ “ the actor, 44, said.
“The year of the fresh white tee — ’99 or 2000. It’s a beautiful year,” he said while fondly looking back at that time of his life.

To this day, though, the dad of one still loves “plain” and “tattered” white shirts because “it’s just a classic thing.” He does, however, have his preferences and usually goes for Hanes tees and tank tops (minus the "weird sort-of fitted ones.").
He also stays loyal to his favorite Dickies pants that he's had since he was 18 years old. "They're my comfort clothes. They don't fit very well anymore. My butt's gotten bigger. I'll get back down to that weight," he joked in the video.

Tatum busted out his closet staple recently for the Blink Twice photocall in London on Aug. 18 with his fiancée and director Zoë Kravitz. He paired it with a sleek black suit that coordinated with Kravitz’s Saint Laurent look.
This year, fans have gotten to see quite a bit of Tatum’s personal style while he’s been promoting his new films, also including Fly Me to the Moon, which came out on July 12.
He’s mainly stuck to a traditional take on menswear in multiple tailored suits. Kravitz, he previously revealed, has been a big inspiration for him in the style department.
"Some friends of mine, like you and Zo [Kravitz] were like, 'Why don't you just wear what you wear? Why don't you just be you?' You gave me some very specific style tips,” he told Jonah Hill for V Man magazine in February 2022.
