She is a Gold Logie nominee with over 30 years in the television industry, but even Amanda Keller gets a little nervous when it comes interviewing celebrities.
So much so, the Living Room host “still has nightmares about” one particular interview she has done.
The 56-year-old revealed in a recent interview with news.com.au, it was with her “hero”, American singer Barry Manilow.
“We were talking about fans going out of their way for him and I said, ‘what’s the weirdest thing a fan has given you?’ But then I said, ‘apart from herpes’,” she explained to the outlet.
“My friend looked at me like I’d gone insane and Barry looked at me with a face of disgust. I thought, ‘What’s happened?’ I’ve loved this man since I was 16 and I’ve just said the word herpes’.”
Amanda likened it to the “devil” speaking.
“I tried to recover from it but not very well and it was just dreadful,” she added. “I still have nightmares about it.”
Amanda is currently is nominated for the Gold Logie Award alongside the likes of Tracy Grimshaw, Jessica Marais, Grant Denyer, Andrew Winter and Rodger Corser.
