Carrie Bickmore reveals awkward pregnancy mix-up

Going through a pregnancy in the public eye can quite often lead to various rumours and speculations.

But The Project host Carrie Bickmore, currently pregnant with her third child, has revealed that sometimes the source of those rumours might not be what you expect.

Chatting on her Hit Network radio show, Carrie revealed she had to deal with an awkward pregnancy mix-up, all thanks to her three-year-old daughter Evie.

The mum-of-two said she was approached by another mother during the school pick up, who came up to her and said “hey amazing”. To which Carrie responded “yep okay”.

“She said, ‘are you not telling people’, and I was like, ‘er what?’ And she said, ‘that you’re having twins!’ And I was like, ‘pardon?’,” Carrie explained during the Carrie & Tommy show.

Apparently, little Evie had been letting everyone at school know that she went to the doctors with her famous mum, where they found out they were having twins.

So the youngster had been going around and telling everyone her mum was having twins.

Often kids lie and you can see through their lies but this mum was fully hooked,” Carrie said, even revealing it took a lot of effort to try and convince the mum that Evie was definitely telling fibs.

And it’s not the first time little Evie has caused an awkward conversation.

Carrie was recently caught trying to explain ‘baby making’ to her daughter, after the youngster kept questioning her baby bump.

“[I had] to explain to Evie how the baby got in my tummy because she’s obsessed, it’s all she asks me, over and over again,” the 37-year-old said on radio last month.

“If I don’t give her the answer, and I say, ‘Go ask Daddy’ then she goes asks Daddy, Daddy says ‘Go ask mummy’ and so it goes on.”

However when it came to having ‘the talk’, her partner Chris Walker stepped in to ‘deal’ with it.

Carrie also shared a new bump pic this week, alongside her makeup artist Eve.

“It’s fun when you get to bump along with a work buddy,” she caption the image on Instagram.

In June Carrie announced her third pregnancy with a sweet family video.

Her 11-year-old son Oliver – whom she had with her late husband Greg Lange – is seen telling younger sister Evie that the family unit is expanding.

Funnily enough, even back then Evie was asking if it was twins!
