10 "Wicked" Cameos That Made My Little Theater Kid Heart Jump For Joy

Whether it be fun Wizard of Oz Easter eggs, wild behind-the-scenes facts, or cool red carpet look details, people literally cannot get enough Wicked.

And as a fan of the musical myself, my favorite part about watching the movie was seeing all the blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameos from the Broadway show.

Here are 10 cameos I noticed:

1.Idina Menzel played one of the Wiz-O-Mania superstars and sang her iconic "Defying Gravity" riff for Elphie, Glinda, and the people of Emerald City. She originated the role of Elphaba on Broadway.

2.Kristin Chenoweth sang alongside Idina as a Wiz-O-Mania superstar in "One Short Day." She originated the role of Glinda on Broadway.

3.Stephen Schwartz appears as one of the Emerald City Guards who speaks to Elphaba and Glinda. He's the one who says, "The Wizard will see you now." He's the composer and lyricist for Wicked.

4.Michael McCorry Rose appears as the Wiz-O-Mania narrator during "One Short Day." He was a Fiyero understudy on Broadway from 2013–2014 and is Stephen Schwartz's life partner.

5.Winnie Holzman plays an audience member during the Wiz-O-Mania performance. She's the one who yells "He can read it! He must be a Wizard!" She wrote the book for the Wicked musical and the screenplays for both movies.

6.Kerry Ellis also appears in Emerald City during "One Short Day." She played Elphaba in the musical's original London cast and on Broadway. She played the role from 2006-2009 and returned to the role for a limited engagement in 2014.

7.Dianne Pilkington appears in Emerald City during "One Short Day." She played Glinda on the West End, alongside Kerry Ellis, from 2007–2010.

8.Alice Fearn makes a cameo as Galinda's momsie. She played Elphaba on the West End from 2017–2019.

9.Desi Oakley sings on the film's soundtrack. She made her Broadway debut as a swing in Wicked and later understudied Nessarose and Elphaba.

10.Meg Doherty also sang on the film's soundtrack. She played a role in the ensemble on Broadway and understudied Madame Morrible.
