Can you spot what's wrong with this crochet top?

Just when we thought we’d seen every bizarre fashion trend out there, one online retailer has released an unusual crochet crop top.

PrettyLittleThing, the same shop that brought us the cling wrap outfit and the ‘red wine-stained’ jumpsuit, has now released a crochet top that is completely see-through.

That’s right, the crochet ‘top’ doesn’t cover the wearer’s modesty and it also comes with a completely see-through pair of matching crochet bottoms.

It’s unclear whether the model in their promo shots is wearing nipple covers, or if the brand has done a little photoshopping.

Retailing for $14 on the company website, the top is a big hit with Instagrammer Tia Lineker, who shared a snap of her in the whole ensemble with her 203,000 followers.

“Crochet dreams in @prettylittlething,” she captioned the shot, which showed her wearing the outfit with a skin-coloured bikini underneath.

“Tan lines to come,” one person commented, while others seemed to love the outfit, calling it “gorgeous”.

According to the PrettyLittleThing website, the ‘dreamy trousers’ are perfect for holiday time.

“Featuring a chocolate crochet fabric with a cropped length and short sleeves, team with the matching bottoms and chunky sandals for a look we're loving,” the website reads.
