Yahoo Lifestyle 'When Calls the Heart' Stars Team Up For 'Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement'
As a huge fan of Hallmark Channel's When Calls the Heart, this Heartie enjoys many of the supporting characters on the show. I find that many times I'm tuning in to see what's going on with the townfolk of Hope Valley more than the main story arc in the series. One of my favorite couples on the show are Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee Coulter (Kavan Smith). Rosemary's antics and Lee's cool-headiness are so fun to watch.
I've had the fortunate opportunity to chat with Hutton and Smith on several occasions and their familiar banter IRL is almost a mirror of the characters they play on the show. While the two actors are married to other people, they definitely have a palpable chemistry between them and it's easy to see these two are dear friends. They've carried that chemistry over to several Hallmark Channel films including The Perfect Bride and You Had Me at Aloha. Their next adventure together is Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement, a new movie series coming to Hallmark Mystery.

What is Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement about?
When an unusual handwritten letter arrives at Nelly’s (Pascale Hutton) office, she identifies the handwriting as belonging to her childhood friend Dahlia (Sarah Grey), claiming her boyfriend Blake (Julian Haig) is being unfaithful. Determined to help, Nelly wants some answers and rushes to Blake’s home only to find his dead body. When Dahlia becomes the prime suspect, the new police detective, Michael Hogan (Kavan Smith) must work with Nelly to prove that her childhood friend is not the killer everyone believes her to be.

Pascale Hutton (Nelly)
Hutton has starred as Rosemary LeVeaux Colter on Hallmark Channel's longest running series, When Calls the Heart, since season 1. She previously had the leading role in Arctic Air, and recurring roles on such shows as Sanctuary, Flashpoint, and Traveler. For Hallmark, Hutton has starred in such movies as My One and Only, Fourth Down and Love, and The Perfect Bride.

Kavan Smith (Michael)
Kavan Smith has starred as businessman Lee Coulter on When Calls the Heart since season 2 with the series currently in production on season 12! Smith has also starred in several popular television series including The 4400, Rogue, and Eureka (where he also played an officer of the law.). For Hallmark, Smith has starred in Wedding Bells, Love on the Menu, and Big Sky River.
