Caleb Simpson and His Girlfriend — Who Met When She Played Glinda on Broadway! — Catch 'Wicked' Together
Caleb Simpson revealed he 'fell in love' with actress McKenzie Kurtz when she played Glinda on Broadway back in December 2023
Caleb Simpson got to experience Wicked in theaters with his girlfriend and actress McKenzie Kurtz — who played Glinda on Broadway back in December 2023.
The 33-year-old creator posted a TikTok on Nov. 25 of watching the film with Kurtz and revealed they first met "eleven months ago" when she played the Good Witch in the stage production.
"I was in the audience [and] McKenzie Kurtz was on stage," he explained. "I just fell in love with her when she was singing 'Popular.' "
He then shared that "we're going to see the movie together" and he showed off his t-shirt — which featured Kurtz as Glinda — and her bright pink sweater with "Popular" written across the front. While Simpson revealed that Kurtz already "got to see it with all the witches," Kurtz said she was "excited to get [Caleb's] reaction" to the movie.
The couple then participated in the movie theater ticket trend, where they asked for two tickets and the cashier asked "for what movie" before the video cut to them wearing their Wicked-themed outfits.

They then walked into the movie theater with a Wicked popcorn bucket and pink drink before Kurtz told Simpson he was "gonna cry" when he saw the movie. The video then cut to his emotional reaction to the movie at the end.

Simpson is best known for his viral home tours on TikTok, where he asks strangers on the street to tour their apartments and homes in New York and around the world. Since he started the series back in 2022, Simpson has gained over eight million followers on TikTok and collaborated with stars like Scarlett Johansson, Dwight Howard and Drew Barrymore to show off their homes.
In an interview with PEOPLE back in February 2024, Simpson said that while he does "run around and just ask people on the street and see" if they want to give a tour of their homes, sometimes "with celebrities and stuff, it'll be like, I might run into them and ask them, and then we'll do it on a later date."

"I think it keeps the ethos of this series and the [feeling of], wow, I can't believe people are actually doing that," he explained. "But then sometimes, yeah, I'll have it pre-set up. Definitely not everybody has the time right then and there to drop their entire life to be like, 'Yeah, let's go film this thing.' "
Through the time he worked on the series, Simpson also shared that he learned "how to talk to somebody, how to be respectful in somebody's space, how to navigate a conversation and really just how to listen to someone's story."
"I'm just creating different series ideas that different people can participate in, and then ideally those worlds can jump into other places," he continued. "Whoever I'm interviewing, I want them to come in and have fun and have a good time, and leave like, 'Wow, that was a great time. I want to come back and tell my friends about it.' "
