The Indiana Fever player is a self-proclaimed Swiftie, going so far as to attend two of the pop superstar’s concerts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. in November, where she met Swift’s mother Andrea, as well as her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.
In a new interview with Time, the athlete gushed about the overwhelming support she felt from Swift’s fans, despite her initial thoughts that they’d be focused on the pop star and not on her.
“People are just going crazy that I’m there,” she told the publication about watching the record-breaking tour. “I thought people would be so in their own world, ready to see Taylor. And it was just completely the opposite.”
The University of Iowa grad took photos with fans and exchanged friendship bracelets with them, and revealed that Swift gave her four bags of Eras Tour merchandise and wrote her a note where she called her inspiring, even inviting her to watch a Chiefs game with her.
The pop star also told her that she and “Trav” wanted to go see her in action on the basketball court.
Clark documented her concert experience on social media, posting a photo of the view from her seat at the stadium on her Instagram Story with the caption “IM FIRED UP” and sharing a picture of Swift's performance of the Speak Now track "Enchanted," which Clark has already revealed is her favorite song by the 14-time Grammy winner.
