Burger King Brings Back Cheesy Menu Item Fans Are ‘Obsessed’ With for a Limited Time

Burger King is officially bringing back three of its cheesiest menu items, and fans are ecstatic about the news.

Earlier this week, the fast food chain revealed it would be making three sandwiches that fans say they're "obsessed" with available once again, per information shared in a Dec. 9 report from QSR Magazine.

The returning entrées are part of the BK Melt collection and feature three distinctively hearty sandwiches: the Shroom n' Swiss, Bacon Melt and Classic Melt. All three options include two slices of toasted bread, two Whopper Jr. patties, sauce and an array of toppings.

The Shroom n' Swiss features melted Swiss cheese, roasted mushrooms and Royal Sauce, while the Bacon Melt adds American cheese, crispy bacon, caramelized onions and Stacker Sauce. Finally, the Classic Melt keeps it simple with American cheese, caramelized onions and Stacker Sauce.

BK's Melts were first introduced in 2022 but quietly disappeared from menus shortly thereafter, despite fans' preference for the item and inspiring other spinoff melts years later. But just like the company did this time last year, Burger King announced that, for a limited time, customers can order any one of the original sandwiches at participating locations nationwide while supplies last.

"I’m OBSESSED with the melts," one Instagram user wrote in response to a post from food blogger Snackolator, which debuted the big news. "Glad they’re back 😍."

"Oh Yes," another fan exclaimed. "The Melts are back."

"I wish they all were permanently on the menu," one more lamented.

While they don't appear to be a permanent addition, the trio of returning favorites will be available beginning on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, for about $4.99 each (prices may vary by location)—so grab 'em while you can!
