Bunnings shoppers in a frenzy over luxury Mother's Day gift: 'So relaxing!'

Shoppers have gone into a frenzy over a luxury "me-time" gift from Bunnings that is perfect for treating mum.

Ahead of Mother's Day this Sunday, May 8, Bunnings released its inflatable Bestway Lay-Z Spa for only $499 and shoppers are snapping them up.

Bunnings' Bestway Lay-Z Spa is an inflatable version of an in-ground spa, so it's more convenient than digging up mum's backyard to get the spa in before Sunday – all you need to do is attach the pump and watch as it inflates.

'So relaxing'

Perfect for pampering mum (or yourself), this energy-efficient spa offers therapeutic benefits, such as warm water therapy and bubble jets for increased circulation and maximum relaxation.

The inflatable spa fits up to four people, so you can enjoy the spa with mum for a day of pampering on her special day or she can invite some friends over to take it for a test drive.

Customers have taken to social media to rave about the spa, with one saying it's "so relaxing" and adding "I think I need one with a wine".

The Lay-Z Spa also boasts a soothing AirJet bubble-massage system with 120 jets, a digital control panel and remote-controlled multicoloured LED lights to set the mood.

Customers will also be able to set the temperature of the 669L spa up to 40 days ahead of their next spa session using the remote control.

Bunnings warns customers may need council permit to install spa

While there are a bunch of models available, this "everyday bargain" is the Lay Z Spa model pictured above and is the only one available at this price.

Other Bestway spa models include the Bondi, Miami, Hawaii, Moritz and Hollywood, which cost upward of $489.

However, Bunnings has warned shoppers on their website that they may need a permit from their local council to use the spa.

"Pools and spas containing more than 30cm deep water require fencing. Please contact your local council for permit and approval information relevant to your area," reads the Bunnings website.
