Spears called Swift "the most iconic pop woman of our generation" in an Instagram post
Britney Spears is taking a stroll down memory lane — and proving she's a certified Swiftie!
The singer, 41, shared a post on Instagram Saturday, in which she recalled meeting Taylor Swift for the first time two decades ago.
Sharing a side-by-side image of herself and Swift, 33, posing together in 2003 and then again in 2008, Spears began the caption of her post by writing, "This is way back when but kinda cool."
Then highlighting how a member of her team approached her backstage during her Oops!... I Did It Again Tour to introduce her to the Midnights singer, Spears continued, "He said, 'I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.' I was like of course !!! He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar 🎸."
"I was like wow wow she's unbelievable !!! We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation. Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day," The Woman in Me author added. "She's stunning !!! Girl crush 💄 💄 💄."

Both Spears and Swift have achieved massive success this year, with the former having recently released her best-selling memoir on Oct. 24, which recounts the highs and lows of her life from her perspective.
The project sold 1.1 million copies during its first week on sale, including pre-orders, print books, ebooks and audiobooks formats. according to Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster.
Due to the book's popularity, a fourth printing of the memoir is already in the works, which will bring the number of hardcover copies in print to more than 1.4 million, the publisher added.
Swift, meanwhile, is currently embarking on the South American stops of her fan-favorite Eras Tour, which saw its most recent show take place at Buenos Aires’ Estadio River Plate in Argentina on Saturday — featuring an appearance from the singer's boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The concert stops come after the release of the re-recorded version of Swift's 2014 album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which earned her the biggest album debut of her career.
