Britain’s oldest twins, aged 95, joke ‘plenty of good sex’ is the key to a long life

Britain’s oldest identical twins have revealed the secret to long life is sex in a hilarious chat with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Doris Hobday and Lil Cox, both 95, were in a cheeky mood as they appeared on Good Morning Britain from Lil's daughter, Vivian's home in Tipton to discuss life in lockdown.

The interview started innocently enough with the twins revealing they had been residing with Lil’s daughter after being taken out of their care home so they could quarantine together.

But things took a turn for the flirty when the bubbly duo were asked by hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid what the secret is to living so long and so well.

Cheeky Lil pointed to her sister and said: “Her secret... plenty of sex.”

Horrified Doris quickly interrupted her as Piers Morgan burst out laughing and Susanna Reid looked shocked.

Things got even cheekier when host Piers brought up Lil's crush on actor Jason Statham.

“One night with him and I’d die happy,” she joked, causing Susanna to shriek.

But an undeterred Lil turned wasn’t quite finished with the flirting just yet, and turned her attention to Piers, saying: “Mind you, I'm coming on to you now.”

The host then cheekily asked for their thoughts on a potential romance with Colonel Tom Moore, 100, the army major, who found huge fame by raising money for the NHS by walking around his garden.

But Lil wasn’t impressed telling the presenters: “I want bloody thrilling, not killing,” as the studio collapsed in giggles.

Concluding the interview, when asked what their advice would be for living in the time of coronavirus Lil and Doris told viewers to “make the best of everything” and “show plenty of love”.

And it seems the twins provided the perfect tonic for viewers in these coronavirus-hit times, with many heading to social media to share their love for the interview.

It isn’t the first time the twins have given their tips for living a long life, except their advice seems to have changed somewhat.

Back in November they revealed the secrets to a long and happy life involved eating raw sausage sandwiches, drinking a pint of Guinness and abstaining from sex.

The now-famous sisters appeared on the This Morning sofa to discuss their habits with television hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

When quizzed on how they still look so great, Lilian simply declared: “No sex and plenty of Guinness.”

Last year, the duo became social media sensations after joining Facebook last year and amassing a cult following.
