'Britain's oldest glamour model', 68, poses in bikini she first wore in her 20s

A 68-year-old woman considered Britain’s oldest glamour model has recreated a photoshoot she did in her 20s – right down to the same neon green bikini.

Suzy Monty, from Cornwall, has modelled for 58 years, ever since winning her first ever catwalk competition as a preteen.

“I won a catwalk competition when I was 10 and in my 20s won Miss Cornwall Bikini and Miss Cornwall Swimwear contests,” she says.

"Then the modelling really took off and I was behind the first fully licensed modelling agency in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.”

Body of work

Her successful career later included glamour modelling – she had a whole issue of glamour nude publication One Of A Kind devoted to her – and Suzy now works for two modelling agencies and also does freelance work.

Despite never having dyed her hair or undergone cosmetic surgery, the swimwear competition winner still has the same long, dark locks and slim figure of her twenties.

Speaking of the secrets behind her youthful good looks, she said a healthy diet and regular exercise, as well as avoiding smoking and drinking, has helped.

How she stays fit

"I always eat healthily. I love cooking myself with fresh ingredients and eat lots of locally caught fish,” she says.

"I walk my dog for miles every day and have never smoke or drank.

"But what people don’t realise is that modelling itself is a great pilates workout, holding poses and flexing muscles for hours.”

So how long will Suzy continue modelling?

“Well I’ve been told I’m the UK’s oldest glamour model and a photographer said I’ve got to keep going to 70 at least,” she says.

"If I can keep my strength, health and figure I will keep going.”

She also says her husband has “always supported” her career.

"I can’t thank my husband enough. We’ll be celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary soon and he is always supporting me, chauffeuring me to shoots."
