Captain Marvel star Brie Larson has had a daring fashion moment as guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The 30-year-old, who won an Academy Award for her performance in Room, selected a plunging black gown with crystal buttons and a thigh-high split to fill in for regular host Jimmy on Thursday night.

The blonde beauty stunned in the long-sleeved velvet dress with white cuffs by luxury label Alessandra Rich, earning praise from her guest Jamie Foxx who told her she looked ‘amazing’.

Brie’s fans certainly approved of her wardrobe choice, with over a million of them ‘liking’ the snaps she shared on Instagram and flooding the comments section with compliments.

“If you got it flaunt it! She’s gorgeous!” one fan wrote.

“Girl! That dress is on fire,” said another.

“Wowsers!” one simply said.

“Ughhhh, that gown is everything and you look phenomenal in it!” praised another.

Others thought the former child star looked very comfy behind the hosting desk.
