Brianna LaPaglia Clarifies Her Relationship Status After Sparking Dating Rumors on Social Media Over the Holidays
Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia also confirmed the return of 'BFFs Podcast' after Dave Portnoy's departure
Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia is setting the record straight.
The 25-year-old social media personality clarified her relationship status in a new TikTok posted on Jan. 1 amid rumors that she entered a new romance after her contentious breakup with Zach Bryan was made public at the end of October 2024.
"Also, I don't have a boyfriend," the content creator said in the clip. "Everyone thinks I have a boyfriend, probably from my Instagram Stories this weekend, but I don't have a boyfriend. Maybe one day, but not this day or not tomorrow."
The PlanBri Uncut podcaster — who previously said she was "completely blindsided" by the country singer's decision to post the news of their split — has been open about her split since it was made public, sharing her side of the story on TikTok and in interviews.
LaPaglia opened up about her breakup with the country singer for the first time on the BFF's Podcast on Nov. 7, sharing details of her past romance with cohosts Josh Richards, 22, and Dave Portnoy, 47. She also accused the singer of emotional abuse throughout their relationship together.
Also in the episode, Portnoy teased that he'd be leaving the BFF's Podcast at the end of 2024. "Yeah. It's definitely gonna be a new pod," she previously said on the Nov. 7 episode of the show, with Richards adding he and LaPaglia would be in person "much more" than before.
The BFF's Podcast will return on Wednesday, Jan. 8 with cohosts LaPaglia and Richards, marking the first episode of the year along with a slew of changes like new segments and a revamped logo.
In LaPaglia's Jan. 1 TikTok, she confirmed the podcast's return and release date. "Also BFF's is coming back. We announced it. Jan. 8. That was always the plan. It's just the first week in the New Year, so I'm heading to L.A. in two days," she confirmed in the clip.

Portnoy's last episode, titled, "Dave Portnoy Says Goodbye to BFFs," was released on Dec. 18. "It's been a great run... have a great life everybody," the Barstool Sports founder said as his final appearance on the show wrapped.
In the Nov. 7 episode, where Portnoy first teased he'd be leaving the show at the end of 2024, he explained that a part of his reason to exit the podcast was because he was "getting older" and "talking about teenage drama [is] a little out of my wheelhouse now."
The BFF Podcast is a pop culture-focused show that covers a variety of topics about celebrity, TikTok and influencer gossip and news. Conversations are often comedic and unfiltered and sometimes feature guests to weigh in on topics and share their takes.
Richards and Portnoy first started the BFF's Podcast in 2020. LaPaglia, who was already hosting her PlanBri Uncut podcast, joined them later that year.
After LaPaglia's breakup from Bryan was made public, she opened up about another relationship in her life: her friendship with her longtime pal and PlanBri Uncut cohost Grace O'Malley. Her acknowledgment on the topic came amid rumors of a rift between the pair.
LaPaglia again shared her side of the story on a Dec. 11 episode of the BFFs podcast. "I'm always gonna have love for Grace [and] will always cherish everything that we did with PlanBri," she explained in part.

One week later, O'Malley announced her departure from Barstool Sports on her Instagram Stories.
"I wanted you guys to hear from me first that this is my last day at Barstool. I'm so grateful to everyone at the company and to [Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy] for taking a chance on me. I'm just as surprised as you are there are no typos in this statement," read the post uploaded on Dec. 16.
O'Malley, whose career has evolved from a social media personality to a stand-up comic over the past year, worked alongside LaPaglia, who started the podcast in college before asking O'Malley to join in 2022.
