"I’m a member of the LGBTQ+ community," Braunwyn continued. "It has taken me 42 years to say that but I am so proud of where I am right now. I’m so happy where I am. To be able to be comfortable in my own skin after so long is just so nice."

The reality star, who shares seven children with Sean, said of her husband, "I love Sean. I love him dearly, he is my person, he is my family. But I’m not attracted to men and I never have been."

Taking to her Instagram, she wrote: “It feels so good to finally be living my truth. I am a lesbian. At 43 years old, I’ve finally been able to accept this part of myself and I’ve realized there are no rules about when someone should come out. This is my time.”

Sean took to Instagram to show his support for Braunwyn, writing: "I love you. I'm proud of you. And I support you. Always."

Braunwyn also shared that she's "still getting used to" identifying as a lesbian.

"I knew I was attracted to women," she said. "I always have been...I got married very young and I never thought about it. So to be 42...I’m just now starting to feel like I’m becoming the woman I was supposed to be.

"So for me to be living completely authentically and say, ‘I’m a lesbian. That was who I have always been.’ This isn’t something that is new ‘cause that I think is what a lot of people will think. ‘Oh, suddenly you’re one.’ No, I’ve always known it. But it took me personally 42 years to be comfortable enough in my own skin to say that."
