‘The Boys’ Spinoff ‘Gen V’ Adds 7 To Cast For Season 2 Of Prime Video Series

EXCLUSIVE: The Boys spinoff Gen V is rounding out its Season 2 cast with Keeya King (Yellowjackets), Stephen Kalyn (Warrior Strong), Julia Knope (In The Dark), Stacey McGunnigle (This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Tait Fletcher (The Mandalorian), Wyatt Dorion (Eerie Hall) and Georgie Murphy (Accused) in recurring roles. Details of their roles are being kept under wraps.

Set in the diabolical world of The BoysGen V expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes—preferably with lucrative endorsements. You know what happens when supes go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt.

Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations … literally. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when superpowers are involved.

The cast also includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Asa Germann and Shelley Conn.

Chance Perdomo, who starred in Season 1 as Andre Anderson, tragically died in a motorcycle accident in Upstate New York while on his way to begin production in late March on Season 2 in Toronto. Production was delayed following the accident to mourn the loss of their colleague and to figure out how the story would proceed. Filming is currently underway in Toronto.

Gen V is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

Michele Fazekas serves as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Ori Marmur, Thomas Schnauz, Steve Boyum, and Brant Engelstein also serve as executive producers. Loreli Alanís, Gabriel Garcia and Jessica Chou are co-executive producers.

King was seen on Yellowjackets as Akilah opposite Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis. She can also be seen as a series lead in the two final seasons of Van Helsing. She’s repped by Play Management, The Characters and Innovative Artists.

Kalyn can next be seen guest starring in the first episode of the Amazon adaptation of Cruel Intentions, and he also recurs in Amazon’s upcoming coming-of-age drama Motorheads. Kalyn is repped by Edna Talent Management and Thruline Entertainment.

Knope is known for her recurring roles in YouTube Premium’s original series Impulse, The CW drama In the Dark and for her work in Netflix feature In the Shadow of the Moon. Knope is repped by Creative Drive Artists.

McGunnigle is a main cast member and cast member for CBC comedy This Hour Has 22 minutes. She hosts popular podcast The Regulars and also can be seen in the series Detention Adventure and The Next Step.

Fletcher is known for his role as Paz Vizsla in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. He also appeared in Breaking Bad, and in films John Wick and The Last Stand, among others. Fletcher is repped by Mitchell & Associates Talent and Clear Talent Group.

Dorion will next be seen in James Wan’s upcoming Netflix horror series, Eerie Hall. He’s repped by Premier Artists Management.

Murphy’s credits include Fox’s Accused and CBC’s One More Time, and next will be seen in Safehaven, Prime Video’s Obsession and CBC’s Small Achievable Goals. Murphy is repped by Noble Caplan Abrams and Link Entertainment.
