Bottega Veneta SS25 Asks: "What Would the Kid in You Want?"
Matthieu Blazy is ready to rediscover the joy of power dressing. In the past, Blazy's deliberate world building through Bottega Veneta has allowed us to travel to the south of Italy and even globetrot around the world. Now, for Spring/Summer 2025, the brand invites us on a coming-of-age story, dedicated to the inner child. Blazy shares in the show notes: "As a kid, there is the adventure of the everyday – there's a feeling that anything could happen, no matter how fantastical and we are not so bound by regular expectations and conventions. The door is open to the possibility of strange realities and wonder."
In this playful world, Bottega Veneta unites luxury craftsmanship with childhood nostalgia through animal motifs and styling nodding to children dressing up in their parents clothes. In constant movement, silhouettes embody the essence of daily adventure and bold nonchalance captures new experimentations for the brand, where Italian refinement blends with new, youthful energy.

WHERE: Held at the Orobia 11, the venue was packed with leather bean bags inspired by the brand's "Sacco" chair. The seats took form as a collection of animals ranging from elephants and whales to bunnies and cats. It was told to us that the Bottega Veneta team hand selected each guests animal-chair based on their personality. The seats are now available to purchase on the brand's website.

WHO: The show was attended by an impressive list of musicians, actors and athletes including Jacob Elordi, Julianne Moore, A$AP Rocky, Imane Khelif, Kendall Jenner, Michelle Yeoh, James Blake, Nara Smith and StrayKids' I.N.
SEE: The collection was brought to life through a variety of animal motifs from frog heels and bunny belts to a leather trench coat with fish lapels. The frog, according to the brand, is a symbol of transformation which is communicated in the accessories such as a brooch and necklace. The bunny, which Jacob Elordi played for the brand's recent campaign, is seen in fluffy mules and leather T-Shirts.
Elsewhere, Blazy brought a sense of modern life into the accessories with grocery bags and leather flowers. These bags and trinkets are inspired by the adventures of everyday heroes including angsty teens, children wearing their parent's suits and shoppers busy at the supermarket. Childhood dreams came to life with a leather bag inspired by a pink toy house. Plus, the Andiamo now features a top handle, for ease of movement wherever you go.

HEAR: The show started with music from James Blake and swiftly turned into upbeat, classical piano music and finally, into a raging applause. The party continued after the show where James Blake gave a live performance to show guests.
TOUCH: Bottega Veneta's unparalleled luxury craftsmanship is articulated in new material experimentations this season. One key standout from the collection is a paillette evening dress made entirely from leather. You have to touch this dress to believe it. Outside of the brand's signature leather, merino wool is woven into jacquards and flannel and pinstripes swallow the need for quiet luxury.
TASTE: For SS25, Bottega Veneta is all about playful, power dressing in what the brand calls "chic awkwardness." While the finer details are hardly missed in this collection, get inspired by the brand's use of creased and messy styling. Think layers of worn T-Shirts, wrinkled collared shirts, loose ties and over-sized suit jackets.
