And every day, BookTok embraces new titles, from the romantasy genre in general to classic novels they give a new life.
And this week? This week the folks at TikTok say the BookTok community is getting behind a wild (and spicy) new romance novel.
BookTok Is Going Wild Over This New Romance Novel

Canadian author Elsie Silver already has a string of romance hits to her credit. But her new novel Wild Eyes just came out September 3 and is shaping up into her biggest yet. It’s got the small town setting her fans expect. It’s got a few cuss words, because Silver keeps it real. It’s spicy enough to make you blush. The story is set in Rose Hill, the rugged mountain town that was also the setting for last April’s romance Wild Love ($17.99; Bloom Books) and next March’s Wild Side ($17.99; Bloom Books). In Wild Eyes, our hero is Skylar Stone, a country superstar who needs a breather from some bad publicity. Then she loses her breath over Weston Belmont, a horse trainer in Rose Hill with devastating charm…and two adorable kids Weston is raising on his own. Superstardom? Or sanity and a home in a small town? Which life should Skylar choose? And does she have to choose?
TikTok looks at the number of posts about a book, the views and reader "likes" for those posts and other key stats to determine the buzziest books around. By their measure, Wild Eyes is taking off. Fans first and foremost love the story, of course. But they’re also obsessing over some low-key touches. Some fans love the mountain range depicted on the spine: line the first two books up and they connect visually. (Make sure you get the deluxe edition paperbacks.)

Others were driven to distraction by the cover design. You know how your favorite books might feature a smudge of dirt or water stains on them because you couldn’t stop reading while eating a meal or snacking or lying in the tub? The Wild books intentionally include a “smudge” on the front and back covers to show they're the sort of book that will be well read and well loved. Fans posted how they hilariously kept digging into a stack of copies looking for one that wasn’t smudged…until they figured out what was going on and had a good laugh at themselves.

Then they read the book and went wild for the story. As mentioned, Silver has a string of hit romance series to her credit: the Chestnut Springs and Gold Rush Ranch books both proved very popular.
