The Dear White People actor, 37, popped the question to the soap star, also 37, in October during a romantic proposal at a place which "holds a special meaning to us," they tell PEOPLE.

"He planned an entire day, full of activities that reflected the journey of our relationship thus far. From the experiences, to the food, to the music, it was incredibly thoughtful and personal to us," says Noelle, who has played Hope Logan in The Bold and the Beautiful since 2018.

As for Noelle's engagement ring, Amedori explains that he wanted "something elegant and classic that would also complement the future wedding bands we will be designing together."

Adds Noelle, "I wasn’t the only one who got a ring," referring to the signet-style jewelry piece she gave to Amedori for the occasion.

Following the proposal, the couple celebrated the moment by driving to see their "favorite crooner," Douglas Roegiers. "[Roegiers] dedicated a song just for us two on our special night, and we spent the evening dancing," the actress says.

Now, the pair are looking forward to planning a wedding together. "I’m elated," Amedori says of the prospect of marrying Noelle. "I fall more and more in love every day. It really is wild how quickly life can change for the better when you meet your person."

The two first met at Luna Luna, an exhibition in Los Angeles showcasing the world's first art amusement park. "Ironically, there was an interactive piece where they asked us if we wanted to get married. Little did we know…" Noelle recalls.
