Blake Lively Swears Her Mom "Made Up" Her Unusual Middle Name "by Accident"

“It’s not a word, it doesn’t exist."

Just weeks after finding out Blake Lively's last name actually isn't Lively (it's Brown) following the launch of new hair-care line, Blake Brown, the actress just dropped another bombshell in regards to her moniker. 

Speaking with MTV UK to promote her new film It Ends With Us this week, Lively revealed her mysterious middle name, but not without a lot of guesswork from her costar Isabela Ferrer first. “Oh my God, you’ve said it before,” Ferrer said while trying to rack her brain of the unusual name.

Lively offered Ferrer a clue: "If you write diary entries [it's] the first part of my middle name." The main character in the film, Lily Bloom (played by both Ferrer and Lively at different periods), often writes to Ellen DeGeneres in her diary entries.

"Ellen? Your middle name is Ellen?" Ferrer asked, to which Lively replied, "Half of it." Ferrer then started guessing, "Elenor? Elenora?"

“Yeah, kind of, but with a ‘D,'" Lively said, adding: ”It’s not a name. My mom, I think, made it up by accident. It’s not a word, it doesn’t exist." After incorrectly guessing “Delanor,” Lively finally told Ferrer that her middle name is “Ellender.”

"I always like was really confused by it, so I always hated it," Lively admitted, before revealing that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, is the one who helped her embrace her middle name's uniqueness. "But my husband loved it, which made me like it more. And he's like, 'it sounds like lavender.' And I was like, 'ooh.'" Ferrer also assured Lively that the name sounded regal. "It sounds like it should be like a Lady Ellender III," she said.

Earlier this month, Reynolds joked that he found out his wife's real name along with the rest of the world when she launched her beauty brand. "I'm obscenely proud of this woman. She's been working on @blakebrownbeauty for 7 years," he wrote on Instagram at the time. "And the result is exactly what you'd expect of a hyper-obsessive, detail addicted, uncompromising quality control genius."

In true Reynolds fashion, he then added, "Also, I just found out her last name is Brown."
