The “Big Brother” season 26 jury speaks! (exclusive)

The “Big Brother” season 26 jury speaks! (exclusive)

Quinn, T’Kor, Leah, Angela, Kimo, and Rubina answer our burning questions heading into the finale.

Chelsie Baham, Makensy Manbek, and Cam Sullivan-Brown have made it all the way to the Big Brother season 26 finale. One of them will be crowned the winner tonight, taking home a $750,000 check for their efforts.

However, before a winner is declared, the final two will have to face questions from the jury of former houseguests they evicted along the way. But we here at Entertainment Weekly like to turn the tables, and that’s exactly what we do every year by exclusively putting the jury on the receiving end of some questions of our own.

We sent our queries over to Quinn Martin, T’Kor Clottey, Leah Peters, Angela Murray, Kimo Apaka, and the recently ousted Rubina Bernabe, and thankfully Ainsley did not intercept them along the way. Prepare yourself as the Big Brother season 26 jury speaks! (Note that Rubina had yet to spend any time in the jury house when answering, thereby making the first two questions moot, so we only asked her the last three. Sorry to skimp on the Rubina content.)

What is the best thing about being in the Big Brother jury house?

QUINN MARTIN: The best part of being in the Big Brother jury house is definitely the relaxation away from the real world and the high stress situation that is the Big Brother house. It feels like this weird middle ground where I'm able to take a deep breath, remember that I'm a real person that's not just a character on a show, and really come to terms with the fact that I've got a lot in front of me and I just went through a lot behind me, and so I'm just able to exist and be myself. It's a very relaxing space.

T'KOR CLOTTEY: I would say that the best thing about being in the Big Brother jury house is the fact that so much pressure and anxiety has been released from me. As much fun as it is to play the game, it is a very stressful and intense environment. And so I feel grateful that I have the time to decompress, and that I don't have to do it alone, and I get to share this space with people who understand what we've been through.

LEAH PETERS: The best thing about being in the Big Brother jury house is that I get to be one of the people who makes the ultimate decision of who wins Big Brother this year, which is so freaking cool. And also, just all of the perks of being pretty much on a luxurious vacation without all of the added pressure of playing the game inside of the house.

ANGELA MURRAY: The best thing is that I have an opportunity to have a say in who wins Big Brother! And also, it's been a time for me to kind of decompress and just kind of center myself because that was a lot of heat. It was a pressure cooker in the house. And now being here in the jury house, I'm able to just kind of release all of that and just kind of have some calm back into my life. And I feel like my face, my hair, my body, everything is just kind of coming back to life. I'm becoming Angela completely again!

KIMO APAKA: The best thing about being in the jury house is having privacy again, in a way — no cameras to have to be aware of. And also being with some of these people. I missed them all so much since they left the house, so it's really nice reuniting with everyone.

What is the worst thing about being in the Big Brother jury house?

QUINN: The worst thing about being in the Big Brother jury house is that every day is a reminder that I'm a loser, that I suck at this game, and I got voted out. Everyone hated my guts. They had to see me go, loved to watch me leave. And that's the worst part, is knowing that my dream has been crushed. It's shriveled up into dust and evaporated into the air. But we're coming to terms with it, honestly.

T'KOR: So one of the worst things about being in a Big Brother jury house is obviously I don't get to play the game anymore. And similarly to the environment of being inside the actual house is that you kind of are enclosed, still have those same sort of limited restrictions, and so the claustrophobia, or the not having access to the outside world — it can get to you.

LEAH: The worst thing is that I am still away from my close friends and family, and it's a little bit tough being without them for this long. But, ultimately ,there's really nothing else to complain about. I mean, we are so blessed to have this experience and be among such amazing people.

ANGELA: The worst thing is that I can't leave. I want so badly to walk out and walk down the street or just take a brisk jog somewhere. I want to go and drive a car. And I'm in a neighborhood, but I can't leave. Yeah, that's probably the worst part, that I’m not in the Big Brother house. I am in a neighborhood, and I can't leave, and I can't call my family.

KIMO: The worst thing is that I'm no longer in the actual Big Brother house, and I'm not able to compete for the $750,000. However, I'm very grateful for the opportunity, and like I said, it's been a blast so far in the jury house.

Which person that was voted out pre-jury do you wish were in the house with you and why?

QUINN: The pre-juror that I wish was in this house with us right now honestly, is like a six-way tie, but if I had to pick just one, it has to be Joseph. Joseph was one of my best friends in the house. He was my second-favorite final two. He went home on my HOH right before the cutoff for jury, and I just think that his opinions and perspective of the game would be so well deserved for finale night. So I wish he was here with us.

T'KOR: So there are an incredible amount of people that were voted out pre-jury that I wish could have made it through the game further. I would say that one of the first people that comes to mind for me is Cedric, which I know sounds counterintuitive because I voted him out to keep Rubina, but Cedric was someone that I had a great bond with in the house. He was a great player while he was here, and so I definitely miss him.

LEAH: I think that I would choose Joseph, because he is absolutely hilarious and I love spending time with him and getting to know him because we have such similar senses of humor and I really miss him and I cannot wait to reunite with him on finale night.

ANGELA: The person that was voted out pre-jury that I would love to have [in the] jury house would probably be Cedric. That kid had me laughing every day. He brought sunshine to my life in the Big Brother house, and I'm sure that he would keep us on our toes in here and keep us laughing.

KIMO: There are so many people who are pre-jurors who I wish were in the Big Brother jury house with us, but specifically I think having Tucker in here would be such a great time. I miss that guy so much. We bonded in the summer in the house, and it'd be really nice if he was here, but I can't wait to connect outside of all the things.

RUBINA BERNABE: The person that was voted out pre-jury that I wish was in jury is Tucker because dang, it would've been nice to spend more time with him, honestly.

If you had to be permanent roommates with one of your fellow jurors, who would it be and why?

QUINN: If I had to be permanent roommates with one of my jurors, I have to choose Kimo. And the reason why is that he has the voice of an angel. I love to hear his voice echo. It’s a sweet song. It's soothing, it's relaxing, and it gives me a reason to get out of bed every day. It's truly angelic.

T'KOR: That would have to be Kimo! Kimo is my bestie. He was my bestie in the Big Brother house. We get along, we eat a lot of the same foods, we watch a lot of the same shows, we kind of both have very creative mindsets and styles and goals for the future. And so I think it would be loads of fun to continue being roommates with Kimo.

LEAH: I think I would have to choose Kimo, because he is just a breath of fresh air. He is so fun to be around and we eat all of the same foods, and I just know that we would have the most amazing time living together, even though we would probably get each other into trouble.

ANGELA: Oooooh, it would have to be Leah. I choose Leah because not only is she my friend, but she's kind, and she's fun as all get out. And let's face it, she can cook really well. Much better than myself, so I'd be good.

KIMO: I'm going to be really realistic about this because T’Kor and Angela both have their peoples that they're going to return to. So it's either between Quinn and Leah, and I love them both, but probably Leah, and we'll just leave it at that.

RUBINA: The person I would want to be permanent roommates with that's in jury would be Kimo, because we both care about washing the dishes as soon as we make them dirty. And that is very important to me as a roommate. And we both love to sing!

Who among all the jurors played the best game and why?

QUINN: Among all the jurors, who played the best game? It has to be your boy! What are we talking about? You should always bet on yourself. I'm obsessed with the way that I played. It flew a little too close to the sun, and now I'm here. But I think that I played my favorite game. The best was definitely T’Kor. I think that she was able to do so much without having to say a whole lot. And that is something that I'm allergic to. I'm a yapper. I love to talk. And I think that that's what's so impressive about T’Kor, is that she's able to keep her cards close to her chest. She's so likable. She won mental comps. She's just got it all. And I think that she played the best game, but my favorite was mine because self-love is important.

T'KOR: That’s a tough one because I do think we have a pretty stacked cast this year, and everyone sitting in the jury house has won an HOH or has at least one Veto. So a lot of great contenders, but if I had to name one, I would definitely have to give it to Kimo. I think the major distinction between him and the rest of the other jury members is his social game. The way that he's able to maneuver and talk to so many people and get so many people to absolutely fall in love with him is really cool. And I think that I tend to value social strategy a lot in this kind of game.

LEAH: I think that among all of the jurors, T’Kor played the best game because she managed to land on the radar, stay very well insulated, and make it seem like she wasn't playing the game at all, which I think really is a testament to how fantastic her social game really is. And not only that, but she really just was such a powerhouse in her own ways, and nobody would've saw her coming. So I think that she is ultimately an amazing player and was definitely a little slept on in the game.

ANGELA: The juror in the jury house that played the best game… I'm going to have to say it's myself! And I'm going to go ahead and be biased on this one. I think I played a hell of a game despite all the pressures, the sleep deprivation, trying to keep up with people that are half my age and doing a damn good job at it. Standing in competitions for nine-plus hours and walking 10 miles in that house in sopping wet clothes and winning two HOHs and a veto. And honestly, having a good relationship with everyone in the house. I'm going to have to say that I played the best game out of everybody in this juror house.

KIMO: Among all of the jurors, I do think that everyone played a great game in their own ways, but if I have to choose one person who I think played the best game, it would probably be Quinn. I admire him so much as a fellow fan and someone who wanted to really maximize the experience in the Big Brother house. I think that Quinn played an incredible game and he inspired me so much in the house to really maximize the experience.

RUBINA: The juror who I think played the best game is my girl T’Kor. She just knew how to win people over without winning competitions, and I honestly think she would've made it all the way to the end if she didn't sit next to me on the block at one point. So there's nobody like T’Kor, honestly. And everybody loved her, so definitely her.
