Brick basics
Here are a couple of basic bricklaying terms to get you on your way:
Course: This is a single row of bricks. The height of brickwork is measured in courses.
Joint: This is the mortar between the bricks. It is usually 10mm thick.
Bond: The pattern in which bricks are laid. The most common is 'stretcher bond', where each course is offset half a brick from the course below.

CCTV footage shows the stolen Honda 4x4 careering along the road before losing control and ploughing into the parked car on Worton Road.
