What Are The Best Zero-Cost Gifts You've Ever Given Or Received?
The holidays are right around the corner...which means it's also ~present buying~ season.
And as we all know, that can get pretty expensive pretty quickly.
But what if it didn't have to be that way? What if gift giving could be...free?
I recently came across this post on Facebook, and it warmed my heart. It said: "I asked my hubby and kids for a 'year of reading' for Christmas, asking them to gather favorite books from their shelves which I haven’t yet read and books from my to-be-read stack. They delivered! 📚 I’ll open January’s book on New Year’s Eve. I can’t wait to see what they picked!' By Diane Dugan Morrill"
It also warmed my wallet, which said, "Thank you for this amazing gift idea that won't break the bank."
How clever is that?! So now I want to hear your ideas for creative and thoughtful and literally free gifts.

It can be experiential, like a scavenger hunt or a self-made tour around your hometown.
It can be artistic! Maybe you wrote a poem or performed a song for a loved one.
Or maybe you re-wrote and organized a bunch of your favorite recipes.
Or did you repurpose objects you already own in your home, like the above book idea? Maybe you created a homemade tea sampler set with tea you already owned. Or perhaps you framed a photo of you and the gift recipient, using a frame already in your possession.
One year, my mom gave me an old necklace that she used to wear when she was in her 20s, and it's one of my favorite gifts I've ever received.
As you can see, it's not that the gift has to cost $0 when it was initially purchased; it just has to be free in the context of this gift exchange.
Whatever your idea, we want to hear it! Please let us know by leaving a comment or filling out this anonymous Google Form.
