There are so many iconic holiday movies and there’s one for every mood.

Love Actually for when you’re feeling romantic, A Christmas Story if you’re the nostalgic type, or maybe something creepy like Gremlins is more your cup of cocoa.

Just like holiday movies, each zodiac sign also comes with its own unique set of personality traits. So if you’ve ever wondered if your zodiac sign has a holiday movie soulmate – wonder no more.

Here are the perfect holiday movies for every zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21 - April 19) - Die Hard

There’s some debate on whether Die Hard should really be considered a Christmas movie, but it’s got Bruce Willis fighting terrorism on Christmas Eve, so that’s pretty convincing.

Aries are loud, blunt, confident, brave and totally unafraid. This fire sign definitely mirrors the spirit of this action-packed thriller, where it’s up to one man to do anything he can to save his family – very Aries.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20) - How The Grinch Stole Christmas

How The Grinch Stole Christmas tells the story of The Grinch, who is stubborn and strongly set in his beliefs, just like a true Taurus.

It takes quite the journey in order for The Grinch to change his mind about Christmas being absolute garbage, and it’s just as hard to get a Taurus to change his or her stance on anything.

Not to mention, all The Grinch ever wants to do is stay home alone and hang out with his dog, and if that’s not a Taurus’ dream night, then I don’t know what it is.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20) - Gremlins

Gremlins is unique for being a fun horror flick – something you don’t normally see in a Christmas movie.

Geminis are known for having a sense of humour on a bit of the morbid side, and this sign is represented by the “twin,” having multiple personalities in one. Gremlins is all about little monsters that have a mischievous sense of humor and seem to be everywhere at once – sounds a lot like a Gemini.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22) - A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story evokes seriously nostalgic childhood memories and is the source of so many holiday movie tropes. The leg lamp, the frozen tongue and of course, the all-time famous line, “You’ll shoot your eye out!”

Cancers are a deeply nurturing sign that values their family above all else. A Christmas Story is about a little boy who really wants a BB gun for Christmas, but more than that it’s a hilarious story about a family spending time together during the holidays, and it’s a movie that so many families make memories watching together. Very Cancer.

Leo (July 23 - August 22) - Elf

In Elf, Will Ferrel plays Buddy the elf who is completely unapologetically himself, just like a Leo. He is also super enthusiastic and joyful, like a Leo. His joy is contagious to everyone around him – to the point where it actually ends up saving Christmas.

Leo’s confident and energetic attitude is just like Buddy’s, always the life of the party.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22) - It’s a Wonderful Life

In the classic It’s a Wonderful Life, George Bailey works himself to the bone only to be left feeling totally unappreciated. This is pretty typical for a Virgo, always valuing hard work and perfectionism with a tendency to feel that the effort goes unnoticed.

In the end, an angel shows George just how bad life would be if it wasn’t for all the good things he’s done over the years, which is a perfect message for Virgos out there: you are blessed and appreciated.

Libra (September 23 - October 22) - Love Actually

Love Actually is the charming holiday rom-com that’ll make you laugh, cry and swoon. Similarly, Libra is the sign of relationships and is known to have a magnetic quality about them, attracting and charming everyone around them.

Libra is a natural philosopher of love, which is perfect for Love Actually, a movie that examines love from many different styles and points of view, so it not only leaves you feeling something, but gives you something to think about as well.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) - The Nightmare Before Christmas

In The Nightmare Before Christmas, king of Halloween Jack Skellington is feeling down in the dumps. He decides stealing Christmas is just what he needs to ignite a spark of passion within himself again.

Scorpio, an emotional water sign, also has a tendency to fall into negative feelings about themselves. They might find themselves in need of a pick me up more often than others.

In the end, Jack finds out that accepting himself for exactly who he is was the answer all along, the perfect lesson for a Scorpio to learn.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) - Miracle on 34th street

In Miracle on 34th Street, Kris Kringle tells everyone that he is the real Santa, but nobody believes him, so a trial is held to try to prove his authenticity.

Sagittarius is a sign that really values seeking truth and never wastes time on something that’s not genuine. The super Sagittarius lesson in this movie: when it comes to the truth, sometimes you just have to have faith.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) - The Santa Clause

Tim Allen’s character in The Santa Clause accidentally gets turned into Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, and even though he doesn’t want the job at first, he takes on the role anyway and goes to extreme lengths to be successful.

Similarly, Capricorn is driven by their desire for success in their careers and always gets the job done no matter what. It’s pretty safe to say that a Capricorn would make a very dedicated Santa Claus.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18) - Home Alone

In Home Alone, Kevin McCallister must come up with some seriously inventive booby traps to stay safe, a predicament perfect for an Aquarius. Those born under the Aquarius sign are known for their great intellect and often go on to become incredible inventors and innovators.

Kevin also manages to thrive on independence, just like a true Aquarius.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20) - Prancer

Prancer is a heartwarming and emotional movie about a little girl who cares for an injured reindeer.

Pisces is a water sign that is deeply empathetic and they really feel the pain when someone else is hurting. The little girl in the movie pours all her love and energy into taking care of the reindeer to escape her own painful reality at home, and Pisces is no stranger to using empathy to escape their own worries.

This movie will leave you in tears every time, which makes sense because Pisces tend to be quite quick to tears.
