All the best beauty looks at the 75th Emmy Awards
The stars came out last night for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (the 2023 awards, delayed from last year) and, naturally, there were some inspiring hair and make-up looks on display.
As seen at previous award shows this season, the popularity of hair accessories like bows and feathers showed no sign of diminishing, nor did the use of bold make-up to anchor custom gowns and structured suits. For a closer look at the glam we’re bookmarking from the 2023 Emmys, read on for the short-list of some of our favourite beauty moments.

Celebrity stylist Gregory Russell added volume to the Daisy Jones & The Six star’s hair with a blow-dry using a lightweight mousse from Pureology, before adding a well-placed bow for a polished finish.
Selena Gomez
We’re loving the Only Murders in the Building star’s bold maroon lip colour (perfectly executed by artist Hung Vanngo), which expertly balanced her striking gown and diamond collar necklace.
Aubrey Plaza
Celebrity stylist Mark Townsend gave the White Lotus actor a retro-meets-modern hair look using bestsellers from Olaplex. And combined with a wine-coloured lipstick shade? The cherry on top.
Issa Rae
If bows aren’t exactly your thing, allow Issa Rae’s whimsical placement of feathers in a sleek bun to give you the ultimate hair inspiration.

Only highlighted by her sculptural glasses, the Beef Emmy winner’s elegant make-up look was created by artist Daniel Martin for Dior Beauty.
Padma Lakshmi
Padma Lakshmi’s effortless waves and bright pink lip echoed the vibrancy of her 2024 Emmys gown.
Suki Waterhouse
The Daisy Jones & The Six star is glowing—and not just because she’s the world’s coolest mother-to-be. We love the combination of her effortless waves with metallic eyes and a soft rose lipstick.
Jessica Chastain
The George & Tammy star channeled the ’70s with a sleek hairstyle crafted by Renato Campora using Hair Rituel by Sisley Paris. Chastain’s fresh-faced make-up look was created by artist Kristofer Buckle for Charlotte Tilbury.

A sleek and shiny retro-inspired ponytail and a matte red lipstick are always a winning combination, as Tracee Ellis Ross proves.

Love Jenna Ortega’s lipstick? Make-up artist Melanie Inglessis used all Dior Beauty products on the Wednesday star, including Rouge Dior in #976 Daisy Plum.
Simona Tabasco
