Ben Feldman Has Unfinished Business With the Mayfair Witches in Season 2 — 2025 FIRST LOOK (Exclusive)
Ben Feldman is about to find himself under the spell of the Mayfair Witches.
TVLine’s month-long #2025FirstLook series continues today with a shot of the Superstore alum as Sam “Lark” Larkin, the CEO of a genetics startup who also happens to be Rowan’s ex-boyfriend from grad school. Lark makes his on-screen debut in the AMC drama’s second season premiere on Jan. 5.

Feast your eyes on Feldman’s character below:
“This is a character straight out of [Anne Rice’s] books,” showrunner Esta Spalding tells TVLine, adding that “it was fun to have a human wandering into the world of the witches, especially someone who already knew Rowan as a doctor and a scientist, and who is a scientist himself.”
Lark reentering Rowan’s life at this particular juncture will help “show the two sides of her, the scientist and the witch, at war over the course of the season,” Spalding explains.
Mayfair Witches‘ second season picks up shortly after the events of its freshman finale, during which Rowan allowed the dark entity Lasher to be reborn through her womb. Season 2 borrows heavily from Lasher, the second book in Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches series, albeit with one key difference. In that book, Lasher is the one driving the story, whereas Rowan remains the focus of the on-screen adaptation.
“There are so many extraordinary parts of that book, and we’re going to honor them, but we’re also going to make Rowan an active part of that story, not just someone who’s beside him having it happen to her,” Spalding says.
Alexandra Daddario returns for Season 2 as Rowan Fielding, starring alongside Tongayi Chirisa as Talamasca agent Ciprien Grieve, Jack Huston as Lasher and Harry Hamlin as the wicked (and currently stone) Cortland Mayfair.
