BEEF Snags Official Season 2 Renewal, Adds Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan
Some big names are about to cook up some flame-grilled BEEF: Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan have officially joined Netflix’s anthology series for Season 2, the streamer announced Tuesday.
In the upcoming season (which will be comprised of eight episodes), “a young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner,” according to its official description.

Isaac (Scenes From A Marriage, Inside Llewyn Davis) and Mulligan (Promising Young Woman, Maestro) join the previously reported Charles Melton (May December, Warfare) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Civil War, Alien: Romulus), both of whom have mentioned starring in the series in past interviews, before its return was official.
The first season of BEEF starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. It premiered in 2023 and went on to win eight Emmy Awards, four Critics Choice Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and two SAG Awards, among others.
At the Golden Globes, creator Lee Sung Jin said, “We always pitched the season… as an anthology series. It was always going to be a new beef, new characters.”
Though Yeun and Wong are not currently set to reprise their roles, both actors are on board as executive producers alongside Jake Schreier. Lee will once again serve as showrunner and executive producer.
