Beckhams go undercover in Australia

All eyes may be on Prince Harry and Meghan’s royal tour at the moment, but another British ‘royal’ family snuck into the country and has been getting around mostly unnoticed.

David and Victoria Beckham, and three of their four children, Harper, Cruz and Romeo, arrived in Sydney on Tuesday to show their support for Harry’s Invictus Games, which kicked off at the weekend.

During their time Down Under, the famous family is keenly taking in the city’s iconic sights, with David, Cruz and Romeo doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb on Wednesday.

Very special to be able to take the boys to the top of the Harbour Bridge today… Thank you to everyone that looked after us especially Nick our guide,” the 43-year-old footballer wrote on Instagram alongside a snap from the climb.

While the boys were getting adventurous, Victoria and young Harper were indulging in a pampering session.

The Spice Girls star shared a lovely photo of the mother and daughter duo enjoying a manicure, all the while Harper read a magazine featuring Victoria on the cover.

Girls day out in Sydney!” the 44-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Earlier on they gave workers a surprise when they arrived at the Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures on the NSW Central Coast on Tuesday.

Both David and Victoria shared some of the fun on their Instagram stories, as they enjoyed a day of quad biking and abseiling, but they kept their visit low key by booking it under false names.

Staff at the adventure park shared the images on their own Instagram. And a few workers were unable to contain their excitement.

Glenworth Valley worker Lauren Funnell couldn’t believe her luck when she showed up to work and was asked to give the Beckhams a quad bike tour.

“POSH SPICE WAS ALSO AT GLENWORTH VALLEY, A FREAKING SPICE GIRL WAS AT MY PLACE OF WORK AND DO YOU THINK I HELD MYSELF TOGETHER?! I MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT!! I started shaking and crying I was that over whelmed,” she shared on her own Instagram, along with a few photos.

“They really wanted it low key – they just wanted a day out with the family – they didn’t even book under their names. We just thought it was a normal family,” she later told Central Coast’s Sea FM 101.3.

Glenworth Valley also posted about the visit on Instagram and said, “David, Victoria and 3 of their children enjoyed a day of adventure with an adrenaline-charged abseiling experience followed by a ride through Glenworth Valley’s bush trails and purpose-built circuit on our quad biking adventure. They even assisted our team with feeding some of our new Spring foals.”

On their way back to Bondi – where it is reported they are staying in a well-secured mansion – the family were also spotted stopping at a cafe in Wahroonga, in Sydney’s north.

After their adventure, the family treated themselves to dinner at Mr Wongs, with David sharing a snap on his Instagram story, thanking the restaurant staff.

While there had been reports David would attend the A-League Sydney derby at the SCG this weekend, his reps have shut down that rumour, Seven News reports. As an Invictus Games ambassador he is expected to attend the closing ceremony this weekend.

The couple’s eldest son, 19-year-old Brooklyn, has not been spotted in Australia.
