Christie Brinkley, 61, Credits Vegan Diet For Youthful Appearance

Despite being a senior citizen, supermodel Christie Brinkley looks better than most women half her age.

The 61-year-old, who has rebuked claims by the New York Post that she had a facelift back in 2010, credits her youthful appearance to a vegan lifestyle.

The mother-of-three, who has been a vegetarian since she was 12-years-old, used to eat fish but now sticks almost entirely to a vegan diet.

But she does admit to the odd oyster here and there, because “life is too short to not have oysters and champagne sometimes,” she says.

Brinkley, who has been married four times, today launches her own skincare line on the US Home Shopping Network.

The range, called Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare, consists of eight products that have been created in line with her vegan philosophy.

The products include a cleanser, primer, a day cream, night treatment, exfoliator, eye serum, neck treatment and wrinkle smoother.

The cleanser and eye serum have already sold out.
