It turns out all you need is rubbing alcohol and your much-loved blusher, eyeshadow or bronzer will be back to it's fully functional state.

The trick is to pour the alcohol into the powder little-by-little until it's all absorbed - saturating it with alcohol will just completely ruin it so beware.

Before long, the shattered pieces of the compact should form into a clay-like paste, which you can mould back into the packaging.
