Non-touring Is The New Contouring

As the season changes, so should our makeup bags.

We’ve been clogging our complexions with heavy contouring makeup over the years but that’s all about to change with the latest low-maintenance beauty trend: non-touring.

What is non-touring?

It’s the perfect mix between contouring and strobing that gives you a glow using lightweight, dewier formulas.

Non-touring gives you that just-woke-up-like-this look that’s daytime friendly and plump looking.

Using a primer, tinted moisturiser and highlighter, you can achieve soft, dewy, glowy skin in three steps.

Celebrity makeup artist Renee Sanganoo told Marie Claire US that Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have mastered the non-touring look.

"It's about dewy and glowy skin—you don't want the skin to look super matte or dry. It's kind of like Spanx for the skin. You know you're wearing it, but no one's supposed to see it,” she says.

Get the Non-touring look in three easy steps:

1. Start by using a primer appropriate for your skin type. Look for one with a dewy, luminous shimmer.

2. Use a tinted moisturiser instead of a heavy, full coverage foundation. If you have blemishes, use a concealer.

3. The last step is highlighting. If your skin is lighter, look for one with pink undertones and if your skin is darker, pick a bronze shade. Using a brush, highlight above the cheekbones, under the brow bone and down the bridge of the nose.
