Marc Jacobs Names A Lipstick After Princess Charlotte

She may only be nine-months-old but Princess Charlotte already has designers flocking around her it seems, after beauty icon Marc Jacobs released a new shade of lipstick named after the tot.

The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge turns one in May and in celebration, fashion designer Jacobs included her name as part of the Le Marc lip crème collection, naming a deep rose-pink shade “Charlotte”.

The new range is available exclusively from Harrods and is priced at $34.

“We wanted to commemorate this major brand milestone by creating a custom shade of Le Marc lip crème,” Catherine Gore, global vice president and general manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty told WWD.

She added that the shade was “inspired by the deepest saturated pink tones of an English rose.”

Despite not being able to walk, Princess Charlotte has already inspired clothing lines, commemorative memorabilia and even appeared at the top of The Tatler List - a list of names the world is 'talking about today and is likely to be talking about tomorrow.'

"Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana made a spectacular entrance into the public eye with an appearance on the steps of St Mary's Hospital just hours after her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, went into labour," the magazine said of her place on the list.

"The gorgeous little bundle of joy has already won us over even though we know very little about her yet, other than the important fact that she is fourth in line to the throne."
