Barry Hall and Lauren Brant's secret wedding amid heartbreak

AFL legend Barry Hall and Hi-5 star Lauren Brant have revealed they secretly married in February and are expecting their third child together.

The couple announced the news as they paid tribute to their sister-in-law Sandra Brant, who passed away at the age of 41 in March last year.

In an interview with A Current Affair, Barry and Lauren also revealed that they are expecting their third child together.

Taking to her Instagram page, Lauren wrote: “In amidst the twilight of heartache, hopelessness and suffering…We found the purest joy, a transformational discovery.”

Barry Hall also took to Instagram to write: “Proud to now call you my wife @laurenbrant. Sad circumstance but such a happy day with our Sandy by our side. Ahhh and of course now we can also say boy number 3 is on the way. Can’t wait for what’s ahead!! Love you xxoo.”

Sandra tragically died from bowel cancer just weeks after Lauren and Barry tied the knot.

The couple had already told Sandra that they were expecting their third child, adding to their family which includes Houston, two and Miller, four.

In March last year, Lauren wrote a heartbreaking tribute to Sandra on her Instagram page after her death.

“Sandra lived, always with the most beautiful smile, and acted on what brought her heart joy.

“She absolutely loved her husband Tyron, son Connor and daughter Allegra, with her whole being.

“Sandra was strong and graceful through her suffering and inspired us all.

“She took her last breath in her husband's arms, her favourite place in the whole world, and is now finally at peace.

“For those who have been blessed to know Sandra, have been touched by an Angel.

“Rest In Peace and enjoy your wings gorgeous girl.”
