Set to be released on November 17, “A Promised Land” is President Barack Obama’s latest literary offering — and it’s already topping best seller lists.

Having previously written several other books such as “The Audacity of Hope,” “Dreams from My Father” and even a children’s book titled “Of Thee I Sing,” it’s no secret that the 44th president of the United States has a way with words. But his soon to be released book is the first of his collection of presidential memoirs and “tells the story of his improbable odyssey from [being a] young man searching for his identity to [the] leader of the free world.”

Described as “extraordinarily intimate and introspective,” Obama walks us through his thoughts on everything from his historical election as a Black American and assembling his cabinet to championing the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) and so much more. And, seeing as he’s known for his powerful speeches and unique talking cadence, he has also recorded his own narration to bring this new book to an audio format. While we still have to wait a few more weeks to fully dive into “A Promised Land,” we have a feeling that it will be well worth the wait.
