He may have won the challenge, but he fell flat in the final appeal to the jurors who decided the winner.

Baden’s final pitch that was slammed by fans as a ‘roasting’, and ‘embarrassment’.

As actress Pia painted a convincing case to win over her former co-contestants, introvert Baden struggled to present reasons that swayed a single member.

Meanwhile fa-favourite Luke Toki was the real winner, with fans raising almost $500k in 24 hours for the dad of three after he was voted out on Monday night.

Brutal reactions on Twitter

The brutal but hilarious reactions lit up Twitter as PhD student Baden tried and failed to argue his case.

Many couldn’t believe the way it all went down.

Many couldn’t help but compare the whole thing to a total breakdown.

Others could barely look.

Others just wanted the painful encounter to be over.

Others thought the situation looked all too familiar.

At least one threw Baden a bone, arguing he was ‘gracious in defeat’.
