Bachelor's Cass and Britt open up about their explosive fight
Tempers flared on The Bachelor last night, when Brittany confronted Cassandra about her previous romance with ‘Honey Badger’ Nick Cummins.
Now the pair – who were best friends in the mansion – have spoken out about their tense encounter, both stressing that despite their on-screen fight, they’re still as close as ever.
“We had this speed bump yes, but it never affected our friendship,” Britt wrote in a lengthy post on Instagram after the uncomfortable episode aired.
While Cass took to her social media to explain that no-one could “understand what it was like to be in both mine and Brittany’s situations”.
Things came to a head between the pair when Britt discovered Cass and Nick had dated before the show, after her sister spilled all about their romance during her home town visit.
After briefly asking the Honey Badger about the situation, she grilled Cass intensely, resulting in her being left in floods of tears.
“I was hurt, confused, upset, but I did my best to understand, and I did,” Britt said. “Cass kept it to herself for a reason, and what a situation to be in.”
Cass also addressed fans of the show, after many took to Twitter to air their outrage over the fact Britt had wanted so much detail – including whether the pair had slept together.
“I completely understand why Brittany approached the situation. There are absolutely no hard feelings towards her,” the 24-year-old wrote.
“If I could’ve told the girls the truth earlier without hurting them than I would’ve, but it wasn’t a gamble I was willing to take.”
The post comes after Cass was given the boot by Nick, causing fans to turn on The Bachelor himself and accuse him of being “cruel” for seemingly leading her on.
He should NOT have kept Cass on this long when he clearly didn’t feel strongly for her! That was a LOW BLOW! Poor Cassy #TheBachelorAu

If Nick knew Cass wasn’t for him, he should never have strung her along for as long as he did! That was just cruel! #TheBachelorAU

Shut your pie hole Nick. You’re making her feel worse. Just let her go and NO! YOU CAN’T ‘still be friends’ #poorcassie #TheBachelorAU #BachelorAU

In a seperate post, Cass addressed her feelings at being dumped, saying Nick was “the one that got away” for her in the real world.
“Unfortunately by the end, he felt we had hit ‘a ceiling’. At the end of the day, it is what it is, and I completely respect his decision,” she wrote.
You can see the moment her heart was broken below. We dare you not to cry.
