The Bachelorette fans left fuming over shock twist: 'Yawn'
The Bachelorette fans were left fuming last night after Channel 10’s ‘heart wrenching twist’ didn’t exactly knock them off their chairs.
During the episode, producers teased a major twist coming up in the show, which turned out to be Elly Miles telling Joey Woodbury in his hotel room that he hadn’t won her heart, instead of doing it at the usual finale ceremony.
While fans were devastated for Joey Woodbury, who became a firm favourite on the show, they seemed more annoyed about the
“I don’t like how they made it out to be a big swerve and she’s just dumping him inside compared to outside Yawn,” one person wrote.

“So the twist was she went to his house? Seriously these producers need to start watching some thrillers to see what a good twist is,” one Twitter user said.
“Dumping someone in their room as opposed to a few metres outside is not a mind-blowing twist, channel 10,” a clearly peeved fan wrote.
Elly and Joey were both visibly upset as she explained to him that her heart belonged to someone else.
The Newcastle woman went on to let Frazer know he was the winner in a heartwarming finale.
“We’re really excited for the future now everything’s out in the open and we can just sort of get started. I think we’re just really excited to do real life together,” Elly said in a video this morning.
Frazer took to his Instagram to write: “Coming into the mansion I didn’t know what I was going to get out of this experience. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and opened my heart up… I got to meet Elly, such a kind and genuine person. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store… exciting times to come.”
Meanwhile Elly’s sister, Becky, wasn’t so lucky in love, with her and winner Pete Mann splitting three days after the finale aired.
Speaking on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa Becky said she saw a lot of good qualities in Pete but is angry that he didn’t give their relationship a go.
“When he got home to Adelaide, about three days later we had a FaceTime and he said ‘look I’m sorry I just can’t do it’,” she revealed.
“I still feel quite confused I’m not really sure. He said that he didn’t see a spark there.”
Becky broke down in tears talking about how they parted ways, saying: “I just wanted to really give it a real crack in the real world but we just wanted to chuck in the towel without even having a conversation about it.. I’m angry he didn’t try at the same time I’m still grateful that he told me when he told me he was 100% sure that he didn’t want to continue.”
She went on to say that she felt Pete had some concerns around home visits time but she believes he was “scared to really tell me how how he felt”.
