Why Bachelorette Ali's family told her she didn't have to pick anyone

Following Nick Cummins’ shock decision not to choose anyone on The Bachelor, all eyes are on this year’s Bachelorette star Ali Oetjen.

Tomorrow night the whole of Australia will watch the 32-year-old meet 18 male suitors, one of whom could potentially be the love of her life.

However in a candid chat with Yahoo Lifestyle, Ali admitted she felt some “pressure” following the Honey Badger’s decision to remain single.

“Just when I was about to go in I did feel that pressure,” she explained. “It just popped into my mind, ‘What if there isn’t that guy in there for me?'”

Ali’s own parents even told her she could make the decision to walk away without choosing anyone, and to not let the pressure from viewers get to her.

“My parents and my friends were like, ‘Remember you don’t have to choose anyone in there if they’re not right for you’,” Ali said.

Despite the advice from her loved ones, the real estate agent admitted it wasn’t “really a problem” for her, hinting that she has found love at the end of her Bachelorette ride.

Following her stint on Bachelor In Paradise which aired earlier this year, Ali entered into a relationship with Grant Kemp.

Unfortunately the romance was short-lived, and Grant has since come forward with claims Ali cheated on him and has continued to slam her.

However, it doesn’t seem to have phased Ali. In fact, she considers the relationship a “blip” on her radar.

“It was definitely a blip or a hiccup, little tiny relationship that I wish never happened,” Ali explained. “But at the same time I do because it made me grow and more aware of what I want and don’t want.”

Hopefully third time’s a charm for the blonde beauty on The Bachelorette.

“I’m chasing love and I’m gonna get it,” Ali insisted.
