Bachelor star gives birth in her wardrobe

As if labour wasn’t scary enough, this Bachelor in Paradise star gave birth in her walk-in closet.

Jade Roper Tolbet met Tanner Tolbert on season two of the US version of the reality show, with the pair tying the knot two years later in 2016 and welcoming their daughter, Emerson into the world that same year.

And one day ago, their family of three became a family of four in one of the scariest ways imaginable after Jade went into emergency labour with her baby boy.

“I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet,” Jade started an Instagram post.

“I’ve been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely.”

She went on to say her waters broke and within 75 minutes she had given birth to a ‘healthy baby boy while clutching a bench’ in the closet.

“It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby,” Jade wrote.

“I was going to share the happy, cute Instagrammable pics first, but this felt right to me. So incredibly grateful for the support system we had and for this beautiful boy I get to hold in my arms.”

The photo shows Jade sitting on the floor in her wardrobe clutching on to her adorable baby boy. Paramedics can be seen looking concerned, while all Jade can do is gaze at her beautiful newborn.

In an update to her 1.2 million followers, Jade then revealed that she and her yet unnamed baby boy are recovering well in hospital.

Bachelor in Paradise alum Tanner also shared his own gushing post about the arrival of their baby boy.

“We are officially a family of 4! Baby boy threw us for a curveball last night... but him and his mom are healthy and all is well... now we just have to pick a name…,” he wrote.
